As part of the ongoing focus on behavioral health and resilience, changes promoted by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services are improving health and saving lives among people in the state with mental health conditions and/or substance use disorders.
On August 18, two members of Eastpointe’s Community Relations Team led Youth Mental Health First Aid Training for 38 social workers and counselors with Lenoir County Public Schools (LCPS) at the Kinston Community Center.
On July 23, Eastpointe, and its community partners completed Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training for 15 officers from the Kinston Police Department and the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office. The training was held at Lenoir Community College.
