For the 4th year in a row the North Lenoir Hawks take home 1st place at the Lenoir County Fair. The North Lenoir Hawks also were awarded the “Traveling Skip Waters Trophy” - Overall Champions of the Lenoir County Fair Cheerleading Competition.

Teams from across Lenoir County showed up ready to compete. Woodington Middle School, E.B. Frink Middle School, and Contentnea-Savannah were in attendance. From the high-schools both North Lenoir and South Lenoir competed.

North Lenoir Cheerleading Coach Gail Jernigan has decided to retire after 17 years of coaching. She has left her mark on every team she has coached, but her last group of seniors will definitely hold a place in her heart.
