The Jones County Board of Health has passed an amended rule " Regulation of Tobacco Products in Local Government Buildings" that was adopted as an ordinance by Jones County. This ordinance goes into effect on December 1st, 2022 and prohibits the use of all tobacco products on Health Department property.

Jones County Health Department is pleased to announce that it will be partnering with StarMed Healthcare to host a COVID-19 drive-thru testing event this Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Jones County Civic Center, which is located at 832 Hwy 58 South, Trenton, NC. Any county resident wanting to be tested at the event must complete a virtual health screening prior to receiving a COVID-19 test.

Jones County Health Department is reporting a third Jones County resident who has died from complications associated with COVID-19. The resident was in their 60’s, hospitalized and considered high risk for the virus due to age and underlying medical conditions.
Jones County Health Department reports the first COVID-19 associated death in Jones County. The individual died on April 9 from complications associated with the virus. The individual was in their 70’s with underlying medical conditions and had been hospitalized. To protect the family’s privacy, no identifying information about the individual will be released.
