West Pharmaceutical Services received a shipment of equipment for its Kinston, NC manufacturing facility on an Antonov plane, one of the largest cargo planes in the world, which landed and unloaded at the NC Global TransPark. West Pharmaceuticals has added 60 additional team members in the past eight months at its Kinston location. West is looking to hire even more people to fill new positions over the next several months.
The North Carolina Global TransPark Authority has hired Mark Pope to be its economic development director, effective July 15. In July 2018, Pope resigned as Lenoir County Economic Development executive director to become the Director and President of the Wayne County Economic Development Alliance.
