Kinston Area Recovery Effort (KARE) is hosting a Hurricane Preparedness event on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, at the Lenoir Community College Gym located at 231 NC HWY 58. There is no charge for admission and a Hispanic interpreter will be available.
August is Preparedness Month in North Carolina and Governor Roy Cooper is encouraging individuals, families, schools and businesses to review their emergency plans and update their emergency supply kits.
With all of the projected storm tracks, there will be a massive amount of rain, especially to the west and that can be worse for us than Matthew.
