LCC Instructional Studio Up and Running

Lenoir Community College has begun using its first instructional studio to transmit live instruction to local high schools. These state-of-the-art rooms are equipped with document scanners, whiteboard cameras, high tech cameras and sound, lighting, and more. Tips to protect your school age athlete from injury

School is back and that means it’s time for youth sports. It’s a time of year we sports doctors enjoy as it gives us the chance to help those patients we really enjoy helping – healthy athletes that just want to compete. Successful competition doesn’t just mean rigorous practices and training sessions; it also requires a great deal of preparation to help make safe competition more likely.

A Day of Giving Back

August 17 was set aside as a “Day of Giving Back” to the community for Greene Early College students. Since the inception of GEC in 2006, volunteerism and a willingness to help out have always been integral parts of the school culture. The staff recognizes it as a valued life skill as it encourages students to engage in the community and contribute to its betterment.

1st Choice Care Apprenticeship Announcement

Lenoir Community College is excited to announce the first Nurse Aide Apprenticeship that started in July with employees from 1st Choice Care, LLC, a family-owned home healthcare agency in Kinston. 1st Choice Care Director Starsheema Chapman and LCC Associate Dean of Workforce Development Dawn Kantz signed the apprenticeship agreement recently during the Nurse Aide I class at LCC.

LCC Holds Lamm Building Dedication

Lenoir Community College recently held the dedication of the newly named Lamm Building. The building is named in recognition of William "Bill" Lamm and Melda B. Lamm, longtime supporters of the College. Their lives were dedicated to their faith, family, friends, and community. In light of that, the two were very generous with their work and donations to multiple institutions across the surrounding area.
