The Down East Wood Ducks return home after a six-game road trip to host the Fayetteville Woodpeckers and Kannapolis Cannon Ballers for a 12-game homestand.

Thanks to an Alejandro Osuna three-run home run, the Down East Wood Ducks took the 4-3 win against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, Wednesday night. This marks the 31st road victory for the Wood Ducks this season.

For the second time this season, the Down East Wood Ducks plated multiple runs without recording a hit in a 5-1 win against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, Tuesday night. The Woodies plated their first three runs thanks to two defensive errors and four walks.

With a 4-2 win on Tuesday against the Carolina Mudcats, the Down East Wood Ducks won their fifth straight game. The pitching staff shut down the Mudcats with seven shutout innings and took a no-hitter to the sixth inning.

Salisbury, M.D. – The Down East Wood Ducks came away with a huge win as they dismantled the Delmarva Shorebirds, playing as the Delmarva Scrapple, 12-1 on Thursday night. The Wood Ducks were 3-for-16 with RISP through the first two games of the series and went 8-for-17 during Thursday’s contest.

Salisbury, M.D. – Trailing by two runs with the bases loaded in the top of the ninth, the Down East Wood Ducks lost to the Delmarva Shorebirds 5-3, on a force out to end the game. The Wood Ducks continue to struggle with runners in scoring position as they finished 1-for-9, Wednesday night.

Salisbury, M.D. – After taking the 3-2 lead in the top of the seventh, the Down East Wood Ducks lost 4-3 on a walk off single in the bottom of the ninth to the Delmarva Shorebirds on Tuesday night. After winning four of their last five games to end July, the Wood Ducks pitching staff starts the month of August with their 12th lead surrendered loss of the season.

After taking a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the fourth, the Down East Wood Ducks and Fayetteville Woodpeckers entered a rain delay and were eventually suspended in the bottom of the fourth, Sunday afternoon. The Woodpeckers return to Grainger Stadium for a six-game series starting, Tuesday, August 24th.

After plating 15 runs last night, the Down East Wood Ducks struggled in an 8-4 loss to Fayetteville on Saturday night. Down East committed three errors and struggled to string hits together with runners in scoring position, as they had two opportunities with the bases loaded but left the runners stranded to end the innings.

Thanks to a late error, the Down East Wood Ducks defeated the Fayetteville Woodpeckers 7-5 on Tuesday night. The Wood Ducks surrendered the lead but managed to claw back with a three-run bottom of the eighth for their second come from behind win this season.
