The Lenoir County Public School Nutrition Department is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified service providers to furnish pizza products, training, and equipment for our three high schools. It was the perfect day for Rotary Club of Kinston to celebrate over 100 years of Rotary. This gazebo was donated by Rotary to our community to enjoy. The weather and fellowship was a perfect combination for this milestone.
A man driving a pickup truck ran into the back of a La Grange Elementary School bus and is being transported to a Greenville hospital for medical attention. The accident occurred at Hardison's Crossroads at the intersection of Pauls Path Road and Ben Dail Road.

On May 24, 2023, officers from B-Squad responded to Taco Bell on W Vernon Ave for a report of Indecent Exposure. Officers made contact with the victims that included employees and customers (including a juvenile) and obtained a description of the subject.

Kinston held its first Harts for Hope campaign, hosted by Marsha Heath. The one-mile walk was held at Contentnea-Savannah K-8 School and raised just under $20,000 to support those going through gynecological cancers.
