Holly Jolly Holiday Show set for Friday and Saturday

Holly Jolly Holiday Show set for Friday and Saturday

The sixth installment of the Holly Jolly Holiday Show will be bigger than ever in 2018.

More than 65 vendors will be in attendance for the two-day event, held at the Kinston Community Center (formerly known as the Woodmen Community Center) on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for anyone older than 10, with children 10 and under able to get in free when accompanied by an adult. There will also be a $50 gift card giveaway every hour of the event, courtesy of the Original Piggly Wiggly of Kinston.

Kinston Community Center Executive Director Kelly Cannon said there will be plenty of variety for everyone and it’s going to a great cause.

“We’ve partnered with the Community Council for the Arts and all money raised will go to children’s programs for both organizations,” Cannon said. “This is a good way for people to shop for Christmas early and there’s a wide variety of options for men, women and children.”

Sandy Landis, the executive director of the Community Council for the Arts, said the range of vendors will provide great options for all in attendance.

“We have a full house of vendors and all different types — everything from clothes, wine, Christmas ornaments, crafts, fudge and much more,” she said. “It’s a huge assortment and we really think it’ll be a great year. We want everyone to come out, support the vendors and also support the Kinston Community Center, the Arts Council and our programs for the youth.”
