Drugs, cash and weapons seized in Lenoir County bust

On June 27, detectives with the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office made two arrests that led to the seizure of illegal drugs, weapons and cash.

The arrests were made at 224 Elise S. Jones Rd. in Kinston after numerous complaints of drug activity from the surrounding community. 

Detectives discovered various cannabis products such as marijuana, cannabis edibles, cannabis oils and cannabis waxes. Various drug paraphernalia, U.S. currency and two firearms were also found, which indicated marijuana products were being distributed from the residence.

Michael Goodman and Ashleigh Moore of 224 Elises S. Jones Road were charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.

Goodman and Moore were both placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.

Taylor Hobbs of 224 Elises S. Jones Road was issued a citation for misdemeanor possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana.
