North Lenoir runs roughshod over Princeton
LA GRANGE -- In its final game before Eastern Carolina Conference play, North Lenoir made a statement with a 9-0 victory over Princeton Wednesday at home.
The Hawks (6-1-1) were up 6-0 at halftime, matching their season-high in goals scored, which was set Tuesday against Farmville Central. For the second straight game, Taiwan Hines had a hat trick and two assists to lead North Lenoir. Zach Jenkins had a goal and an assist with Michael Prado, Arnoldo Munoz, Michael Moore and Ethan May all providing goals. Luis Cordova had three assists, with Jose Sanchez, Carmen Enriquez and Axel Rodriguez contributing assists as well.
The Hawks start conference play Monday on the road against West Craven.
Greene Central stumbles against Greenville Conley
SNOW HILL -- Greene Central has cooled off a bit after facing hot competition, most recently in a 6-3 loss to Greenville Conley Wednesday.
The Rams (4-3) their last two contests to Clinton and Greenville Conley, a pair of teams with a combined 15-1-1 record. Greene Central will start conference play on the road against Washington Monday.
