Farmer's Market Update

What's at the Farmer's Market?
Kale, collards, mustard,squash, grapes, maybe henpeck, peas, butterbeans (maybe), string beans, onions, sweet potatoes, local honey, peanuts, pork skins, pork rinds, fall and Halloween crafts...all available this week. The vegetable season is in a lull right now, but we have much to look forward to as fall approaches. Stay tuned !

Wings Over the Neuse is set for Friday, September 14, from 10:30 to 3:30 pm in downtown Kinston! The CSS Neuse II Foundation’s Galley Crew will be preparing chicken wings dipped in the famous Hawk's Nest Café & General Store Hawk Sauce along with carrots, celery sticks, and ranch dressing. Wings Over the Neuse is the CSS Neuse II Foundation’s major fundraising activity. Drive thru the Lenoir County Farmers Market and pick up your “brunch” and support the caretakers of the CSS Neuse II that our community built. #VisitKinston

October 18-21 - Food, Brew and Que
Saturday, November 17 - Vivian Howard cooks and serves Thanksgiving sides. Leraine Tolson from Queen Street Deli will be stirring up an interesting dish and our friends from Southern Sugar Bakery will have beautifully decorated turkey cookies.
