The Delta Rho Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. recently hosted the Area IV Finer Womanhood Observance.

Graduate and undergraduate chapters from cities across the state were in attendance, including Fayetteville, New Bern, Jacksonville, Lumberton, New Hope, Goldsboro, Wilmington, Laurinburg, Pembroke and Kinston. Eastern Regional Director Charlisa Y. Davis was the guest speaker with Eastern Regional Area IV Coordinator Cyshelle William-Graham providing remarks. A welcome was extended by Kinston Councilwoman Kristal Suggs.

Each chapter presented their “Zeta of the Year,” with Samara Taft receiving the award. The Chapter also recognized Tiffani Koonce Crawford, Pastor Nancy Wade, Teenell White, and Kendra Woods for their service. During the health fair, Davis spoke briefly on a variety of legal topics. The group focus was living wills, health care power of attorney and personal power of attorneys.

On Nov. 9, the chapter will present its scholarship fundraising, “Miss Blue Revue 2019” program.  It will be held at Lenoir Community College at 6:30 pm.
