The opportunity for assistant principals to share knowledge with each other will be present in Winterville Oct. 12.

Greene Central assistant principal Uvonda Willis will have a “Coffee and Chat” event at The Biscuit and the Bean Café on 168 Beacon Drive from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event is set up as a professional but relaxed roundtable session for assistant principals to converse, collaborate and create strategies for change within the schools.

The event is free and refreshments will be served, but registration is required and the deadline is Saturday.

Willis said “Coffee and Chat” is open to any current administrators, as well as those who want to get into the profession.

“I wanted to create an atmosphere that felt laid-back and relaxed, where administrative professionals could sit around and share knowledge,” Willis said. “Since we’re all at school during the day, I wanted to find a venue where we could have great discussions and tap into the wealth of knowledge we have as local administrators.”
