LCC offers Workforce Development HRD classes

Lenoir Community College will offer the upcoming Workforce Development HRD classes to aid unemployed or underemployed persons.  Tuition is waived for these classes if students are unemployed or underemployed.

• Financial Literacy - Money Smart

• Computer and Job Seeking Skills

• Job Seeking Strategies for 2020

• Developing your Resume in NCWorks

• Learn Basic Typing & Job Search Strategies

• Intro to Microsoft Office will start February 5 on Wednesdays from 6-9:00 pm for eight weeks. The class will cover an introduction to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Working Smart will be offered February 10 through February 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• The National Career Readiness Certification testing is offered weekly. Call Denise Jeffery at (252)527-6223, ext.715 for dates and times.

• The Career Ready Lab is available for online job search, applications, resume assistance and the Career Readiness Certification prep course. Lab hours are Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

• The Career Ready Lab at the Neuse Library is available with Eugene Murray on Monday and Wednesday afternoons 1 to 5 p.m. in the computer lab.
