LCC's Casino Night welcomes DEWD's Jon Clemmons as celebrity dealer
The Lenoir Community College Foundation is happy to welcome back Assistant General Manager, Sales of the Down East Wood Ducks Jon Clemmons as a Casino Night Celebrity Dealer this year. The event will be held on January 31 from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. at the Lenoir County Shrine Club. Tables open at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person. Proceeds from the event benefit the LCC scholarship program.
Originally from Swansboro, Clemmons has lived in Raleigh and Asheville before coming to Kinston to work with the Down East Wood Ducks.
Clemmons has partnered with LCC and the Foundation since arriving in Kinston. He said he has thoroughly enjoyed working with the President, Dr. Rusty Hunt, the Marketing Director, Richy Huneycutt and their respective staffs in initiatives promoting students, education and baseball in the community.
He has visited Las Vegas twice and Atlantic City once to date. He said he enjoys testing his luck on various games especially roulette and black jack; however, his luck usually runs out, so he comes home. He considers himself an average bluffer with a glowing grin.
If you are able to catch Clemmons, you may find him running up and down the streets of Kinston, as he is an avid runner. His advice to all the fellow gamblers new and seasoned is to go with your gut feeling.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available and may be purchased online at www.lenoircc.edu/casino or by contacting the Development Coordinator in the LCC Foundation office at 252-233-6843.
