Parrott Academy administrators created a special “Food Truck Friday” for senior students on October 16th. Head of School Brooks Sutton spearheaded the effort, contacting East Coast Wings and arranging for every senior to advance order his or her favorite ECW dish. The big orange East Coast Wings rolling diner parked in front of Parrott’s high school building just before 1:00 p.m. As soon as they were dismissed for lunch, seniors swamped the truck and picked up their food. They ate at socially distanced tables on the outdoor dining plaza.

Jared Lucas of East Coast Wings handed out orders. “The Honey Barbecue Boneless was definitely the most popular choice among these kids,” he noted.

“We’re happy to offer our seniors this special treat,” said Robert Kravitz, Head of APA’s Upper School.  “They’ve had to give up some traditional senior privileges, like early lunch dismissal and socializing in the senior hall between classes. They’ve also just completed the first marking period of the school year doing a great job of cooperating and following our new health procedures.”
