Pink is the Link Walk supports cancer patients
The Pink is the Link team had a great walk October 24. They had 62 walkers, according to Tammy Everett, and raised $2,400 for the Angel Fund, a fund in the Lenoir Hospital Foundation that supports cancer patients that are struggling financially. Tammy says, “We are excited about doing our second annual walk in 2021.”
In addition to the gift to the Foundation, approximately $500 was donated to Susan G. Komen for research. Shown above, right to left are walk organizers, Tammy Everett, Lynn Thaxton, and Donna Kearney, making the gift to Donna Potter, RN and Nurse Navigator in the UNC Lenoir Cancer Center.
