Help wanted: Lenoir County Soil and Water Cooperation - District Cost Share Technician I
District Cost Share Technician I: Regular; Full-time Position
Salary Range: $29,239 - $51,596
Work involves the preparation of correspondence, reports and vouchers, and other documents for the department. Employee is also responsible for attending meetings and taking and transcribing minutes; screening and independently handling a variety of routine inquiries by telephone and in person; and maintaining a variety of records and files.
Employee must exercise independent judgment, discretion and initiative in completing assignments. Employee must also exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with the public. Must also be able to assist the District Cost Share Technician II with field work sometimes including long hours and variable weather conditions.
Minimum education and experience: Graduation from high school or vocational/technical school with major course work in secretarial science, and 1 to 2 years of experience in secretarial/clerical work, preferably involving work in a governmental setting or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
