Cub Scouts collect bread donations for Mary's Kitchen

Recently, the Webelos II den of Cub Scouts Pack 41 (Gordon Street Christian Church in Kinston) completed a service project of loaf bread collection to benefit Mary’s Kitchen. On Tuesday, March 3 the six boys delivered 79 loaves of bread to Mr. Jim Godfrey, Director of Mary’s Kitchen.
The den members, along with Mr. Godfrey, are pictured from left to right: Jonas Taylor, Gray Murphy, Brody Steele, Charles Harper, Jude Tanner, and Jack Albritton. Their den leader, Mrs. Sherry Tanner, reports that the original goal was to collect 60 loaves of bread, enough for a week at Mary’s Kitchen, and was pleased to see the boys meet and exceed that goal.
