ATF offers reward of up to $5,000 in La Grange firearms theft and arson

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a burglary and arson at La Grange Guns-N-Gear in La Grange on Aug. 4.  

At approximately 11:30 p.m., investigators responded to a fire at 130 S. Caswell Street. During the investigation, it was discovered that a suspect or suspects had entered the business and stole multiple firearms.

ORIGINAL POST: Just after 11:30 pm on Tuesday, August 4 the La Grange Volunteer Fire Department responded to a burning building in downtown La Grange. According to eyewitnesses, the fire was located at the S and J Hunting and Shooting Supply Shop and Hugo Volunteer Fire & Rescue, North Lenoir Fire & Rescue, Sandy Bottom Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Lenoir EMS, Lenoir County Emergency Services and Lenoir County Sheriff's Office provided assistance.
