Winter weather and coastal flooding threat this weekend
Low pressure is expected to slowly track off the Carolina coast tomorrow, bringing a threat of coastal flooding and a rain/snow mix for inland areas mainly along and north of Highway 70. The highest threat window is overnight Friday into Saturday. Any snowfall accumulation should be light and be confined to grassy areas. Roads should remain wet.
The attached map says accumulations under an inch, but we currently don't expect any snowfall amounts exceeding half an inch. For a more probabilistic look, please refer to our winter weather page: https://www.weather.gov/mhx/winter
