Public Health Nurse II: Regular, Full-Time, Position #5110-20-051

Salary Range: $44,133 - $60,838 The PHNII is responsible for an assigned patient case load of county residents that varies. Each patient assignment is made upon receipt of a referral from a medical provider or other agencies providing prenatal care to county residents.

The nurse is responsible for:
1. The management of the patient’s pregnancy.
2. Assisting and obtaining community resources to ensure a healthy pregnancy outcome.
3. Ensuring prenatal medical services are received.
4. Follow-up of any risk factors that many be detrimental to a healthy pregnancy outcome; development and implementation of a plan of care to ensure healthy outcomes; and provision of data to the NCDMA database.

Minimum Education and Experience: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing, which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation; or Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
