The world’s fourth most valuable brand, Amazon, is coming to Kinston. Social media posts began to pop up questioning why there were Amazon job postings in Kinston. “I can tell you that they are coming,” said Lenoir County Chair Linda Rouse Sutton.

North Carolina approved to extend student P-EBT food assistance benefits through 2021-22 school year; child care P-EBT still pending federal approval
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services today announced it has received approval from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to continue the Student Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) food assistance program for eligible K-12 students through the 2021-22 school year under new rules.

Updated: Super 10 to close in downtown Kinston

Super 10 store manager Crystal Beamon made a post on Facebook announcing the store’s closure. Stephen Hill purchased the building about two years ago and discussed rental rate changes with the owners of Super 10, Variety Wholesalers. Variety Wholesalers was not interested in remaining in the same space if the cost to rent changed.
