"Say hello to me by name" - Kinston Community Center members speak out

The Kinston Community Center offers state-of-the-art equipment, aquatic and land classes, pools, and perks for its members. The staff at the center worked hard to make sure that all the pandemic policies and procedures were followed to ensure the safety and well-being of their members.

“I love that the Kinston Community Center is a welcoming place for me and my entire family,” said member Hope Carroll.

The community center offers more than just the ability to work out. There are swimming lessons, scuba lessons, and other new skills to be learned that are offered to their members.

“I've really enjoyed the center because it doesn't just specialize around one thing but has several activities to do,” said member Lorenzo Acuna.

Whether members take advantage of the exercise equipment or classes offered throughout the week, there is something for everyone to do.

“I am a big fan of the classes offered, especially the spin class and my kids enjoy the swimming pool which they can enjoy year-round,” said Carroll.

The pool area is covered during the cooler weather to ensure that the members of the Kinston Community Center can enjoy the water year-round. The water park is open Memorial Day through Labor Day and has exclusive hours for members.

“I love exercising at Kinston Community Center. The facility is always clean and everyone is always so friendly and helpful,” said member Beth Barnhill.

From temperature checks at the door, deep cleaning a few times a day, and the mandated mask requirements, the staff at the Kinston Community Center take the safety of others very seriously.

“The staff is always warm and welcoming and most make a point to say hello to me by name,” said Carroll.

The staff works hard to make each member feel welcome and appreciated. With kind words and motivation, they go out of their way to greet all the members that come into the facility.

“The staff has always been polite and do a great job keeping the center clean and organized,” said Acuna.

New members can take a tour with the staff to explore what the Kinston Community Center has to offer.

“Kinston Community Center staff is the best. They are always helpful and friendly,” said Barnhill.
