In addition, the inaugural “Lighthouse Award” was presented to a legacy donor for her stewardship and longtime support of United Way. In addition to her annual gift, she and her family also contributed $12,000 in direct grant assistance to local nonprofits through Lenoir/Greene United Way during the Covid-19 pandemic. Lenoir/Greene United Way Executive Director, Molly Taylor shared this in her presentation: “We thank you Pearl, for loving our communities and for guiding our path as a donor, friend and advocate.”
Members of the Schechter Leadership Society gather for a photo at the Lenoir/Greene United Way Midsummer Night’s Dream Event. The Schechter Leadership Society consists of local donors who provide an annual gift of $500.00 or more to Lenoir/Greene United Way.
