Lenoir/Greene United Way is pleased to announce their investment awards for 2024. The longstanding nonprofit organization is focused on supporting local programs that deliver measurable impact and outcomes in the areas of education, health and financial sustainability.
Lenoir/Greene United Way invites interested nonprofit organizations to submit a letter of intent to request funding for the 2024 application cycle. Applicants must meet the following guidelines to pursue funding: 501c3 nonprofit organization, Agency in good standing, Meets at least (1) community impact area of Education, Health or Financial Sustainability, Fully complies with required documentation and grant reporting from Lenoir/Greene United Way, Ability to provide measurable goals and outcomes on service population.
The “Set Sail With Us” nautical party celebrating Lenoir/Greene United Way takes place on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Kinston Country Club. A full evening is planned with the presentation of the 2023 Lighthouse Award, live music by “Liquid Pleasure” and a silent auction featuring custom art by local artist, Seraphim Smith.
Spirit AeroSystems recently donated $8,400 to Lenoir/Greene United Way. The donation is part of their annual investment in local community organizations through their Good Neighbor Fund. The funds given to Lenoir/Greene United Way will be distributed to their 14 area nonprofit partner organizations.
Lenoir/Greene United Way hosted their Midsummer Night’s Dream event on Wednesday, July 14 at Kinston Country Club. The event celebrated the nonprofit organizations local donors and their service to United Way.

Lenoir/Greene United Way announces the move of their business office to 301 N. Queen Street in Kinston. The new office is inside the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce Building in the left wing.
