Help wanted: Lenoir Community College - Office Assistant - Human Resources (Part-time)

$10.00 - $13.00 Hourly

The Office Assistant - Human Resources is responsible for performing various HR tasks as it relates to the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.

This position will remain open until filled.

The Office Assistant - Human Resources will provide assistance with:

·         Managing of applicant tracking system; ensuring accuracy of posts and position descriptions; and verifying pay rates

·         Maintaining and monitoring Affordable Care Act records

·         Managing time keeping system

·         Communicating with the public regarding position announcements, the application process, prior service and employment verifications

·         Planning HR sponsored events

·         Preparation of adjunct and off-load contracts

·         Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

·         An associate degree in business administration, human resources management or a related field from a regionally accredited institution is required

·         A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

·         Must possess excellent public relations and organizational skills, problem-solving abilities and have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Working Conditions

·         Typical office environment including use of telephone, computer, printer, copier, facsimile machine, and calculator

·         Sitting at a desk for long periods of time with a moderate amount of standing, walking, and keyboarding

·         Regular communication with others in person and on the phone

·         Some lifting and carrying of weight up to 20 pounds

·         Some traveling with occasional overnight stay may also be required

·         Some evening and/or weekend duties may be required on or off campus
