Obituary: Reverend Timothy Randall Turner II

Reverend Timothy Randall Turner II, 37 of Pink Hill NC, passed away on Sunday November 13th at his home.

Tim was born on December 28th, 1984 to Timothy Randall Turner Sr. and Linda Maness Stanley in Kinston NC. After Tim graduated from Jones Senior High School in May 2003, He Studied Business Management at LCC. Tim worked at Mallard 19 at Falling Creek after high school. In October of 2003 he became a teller at First Citizens Bank at the Mall branch, and he bounced back from the Mall Branch and Hwy 70 until he moved to First Citizens in Jacksonville at the western branch. In August of 2004 not only did Tim work part time at the bank he also worked at Mallard at Wise Fork on the weekends, as he also worked at Pizza Inn in Kinston by the Hospital. In November of 2004 he became the youngest Assistant Manager at IGA at just the age of 19. Tim worked at the Pink Hill Store and the Beulaville store. In 2011, he returned back to the Pink Hill Store as Manager. In March of 2015 he moved on to find one of his favorite jobs at MasterBrand Cabinets, where he advanced quickly to lead maintenance technician and he was a PO 8. He had a wonderful calling on his life to be a Pastor and a Disciple. He had a passion to share the gospel with anyone who would listen and to help others in time of need. Tim was an ordained Deacon; and he was officially ordained as a pastor on August 21, 2022 and was a vital member of D3 church.

In May of 2003, Tim met the love of his life Heather Taylor. They were married on November 8th, 2003 at Turner’s Chapel. They went on to have 4 wonderful children; Brittany Ann, Timothy Lee, Bradley Burton and Amy Grace.

Tim was a man of many talents and a workaholic. Everything he did he gave 110%. Most of the time you would find Tim outside in the garden or in his building listening to music, which spoke to him in a special way, or simply spending time with his family and friends.

Tim received his Ham Radio License in March of 2000 and then became affiliated with Possum Trot. In June of 2000. Tim was proud to be a part of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts (Pack 447 and Troop 447) where he was a Den Leader and an Assistant Scout Leader.

Tim was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rev. Burton Turner; his maternal grandparents Lyndsey & Nancy Maness; step- brother Robbie Tripp; his Uncle Rayford Turner and his Aunt Nancy Mantie.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Heather and his children Brittany Ann Turner (Ethan Lamm), Timothy Lee, Bradley Burton and Amy Grace. He is also survived by his mother Linda Stanley (he was proud to be a “Mama’s boy”), His father Timothy R. Turner who taught him to be a jack of all trades (Julia), his Sister Joann Heath with whom he had a connection and a strong bond together with (Earl- Earl was not just a brother-n-law to him he was his brother and they had a very close relationship). His in-laws Patricia and Johnny Strange. His niece Carolyn King who was more of a little sister to him (Joshua) and Elizabeth (Libby) Heath who he loved to hear her sing and his nephew Austin who he loved to play around with. Tim was also a great uncle to Elizabeth (Lizzy bug), Scarlet and Jase (Bud) King. His nieces and nephews called him Uncle T. They knew they could always count on Uncle T no matter what. Tim also had a few “Adopted Kids” Rylee Walker, Elizabeth (Ellee), Benjamin Lane, and Leah Grace Horton, Ethan Lamm, Myra Skinner and Ben Smith. Tim had a lot of friends that were family to him. He loved his Maintenance Team and Brothers (the ones who have left and still there), He loved his Brother Pastor Jesse Horton and Sarah Horton and many many more.

Services will be held at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the visitation on Friday, November 18th from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 19tth at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the burial to follow at the Turner Family Cemetery at 1226 Watering Pond Road Pink Hill, NC 28572. In Lieu of Flowers, the family request donations to cover expenses and supplement the loss of their only source of income.
