KPD: Armed Robbery and Kidnapping Arrest

On Thursday, February 24th, members of the Kinston Police Department arrested Norris Donnell Bell, 44 years old, for one count of Armed Robbery that occurred at the Dollar General on February 22nd, 2022. Bell was also charged with an attempted robbery and three counts of 1st Degree Kidnapping that occurred in the parking lot of 701 Plaza Blvd. At the time of his arrest, Mr. Bell was also wanted by the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections – Probation & Parole. He was released into the custody of the Lenoir County Jail under no bond. This arrest would not have been possible without cooperation from the community.

The Kinston Police Department places the highest priority on investigating crimes of violence perpetrated in our city. We will continue to investigate such cases with no compromise for crime, and continue to seek assistance from the communities that we proudly serve.
