Obituary: Jacquelyn Leigh Wooten

Kinston, NC: Jackie Wooten went to be with the Lord and her Savior on April 25, 2022. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 59 years - Bill Wooten. She is survived by her two sons Randy Wooten and his wife Tammy of Angier, NC, and Rob Wooten of Charlotte, NC.

She is also survived by her granddaughter Rachael Wooten and her husband Brandon and their baby Rhett. She was a longtime member of Spilman Memorial Baptist church. She was active in the choir and held several positions in the church. She really enjoyed teaching Sunday school classes at the church. She was a devoted Mother, Wife and friend. She enjoyed time working in the yard, planting flowers and reading. She had many jobs over her career including working at DuPont, helping start up the Golden Corral restaurant chain, Frank S. Love and Company and Everett Industrial Repair.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1st , 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Howard and Carter funeral home. There will be a graveside funeral service held on Monday, May 2nd at 11 am at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, NC.
