NWS: Periods of heavy rain today and tonight

A front pushing into the area combined with moisture lifting out of the Gulf of Mexico is expected to bring periods of heavy rain across parts of ENC this afternoon and evening. We could see a few strong thunderstorms bringing damaging wind gusts as well.
