Dan Perry: The recent Supreme Court reversal of Roe v Wade
In light of the recent Supreme Court reversal of Roe v Wade, I have a message for three individuals:
1. To Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Cal, regarding your comment, “You ain’t seen nothing yet. Women are going to control their bodies no matter how they try to stop us. To hell with the Supreme Court. We will defy them:” To defy the Supreme Court is to defy the law of the land. You should be held accountable!
2. To all pro-abortioners who believe women have a Constitutional right to abort their babies at whatever stage after conception: There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution to give you any such right to end the life of an unborn child. In fact, under Federal law as well as all state laws it is considered murder to take the life of another.
3. To all mothers who are carrying a baby in your womb and think you have the right to abort it: I know you will agree that you don’t have the right to kill your 21-year-old child, or your 10-year-old, or 2-year-old, or your 2-month-old child. Please consider this: ultrasounds reveal that a fetal heart beat may first be detected as early as 5 ½ to 6 weeks after gestation. That’s when a fetal pole, the first sign of a developing embryo, can sometimes be seen. At whatever stage of your pregnancy, I beg you go to your local Pregnancy Center and get a free ultrasound where you can actually see your child’s legs kick and arms move inside your womb as he looks forward to having a full life expectancy in the world surroundings.
God’s Word is clear that life begins at conception, “For You have formed my inward parts, You have covered me in my mother’s womb, I will praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and my soul knows very well” (David, Psalm 139:13-14).
If you have already had an abortion God will forgive you if you will ask Him and are truly sorry.
But if you are now pregnant and considering an abortion, again I beg you to get a free ultrasound and actually see your baby’s movement:
Please don’t make the mistake of ending your baby’s life. Adoption is always the better option. You will be forever thankful if you let your child live – and he or she will one day thank you for your lifegiving decision.
