NWS: Showers and thunderstorms expected Friday and Friday night

Scattered to numerous showers & thunderstorms are expected Friday and Friday night. The heaviest rain is expected to fall across the southern portion of the area where over half an inch is forecast. There could also be an isolated severe thunderstorm with a damaging wind gust across the south Friday afternoon into early evening.
