“Faith is more powerful than government and nothing is more powerful than God.”

That sounds like a statement that could have been made by President George Washington or President Abraham Lincoln–or one of our founding fathers, for it epitomizes the very foundation and strength of America! That’s why one of our most cherished slogans is “In God we trust.”

Actually, that was a quote by President Donald Trump when he was in office.

But what about today? Most of you should know this, but let me tell you about Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

President Obama and Vice President Biden officially began their all-out war on Christian military members and their religious liberty in 2013 when their anti-Christian allies in the Pentagon announced: “Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense… court-martials will be decided on a case-by-case basis…”

This is nothing more than an unconstitutional attempt to punish and silence Christian service members and Chaplains once and for all. Under Biden-Harris’ unconstitutional policies, Christian service members and Chaplain’s risk court-martials, prosecution, or even discharge if they talk about Jesus, quote the Bible, or share their faith. Even worse, if an atheist, homosexual, or non-Christian is offended in ANY way, the service member can and will be punished.

Friends, it is obvious that our Faith is under fire! The Biden-Harris goal is simple: Make it a crime for Christian service members and Chaplains to share their faith.

When I was in the Army stationed in Korea near the 38th parallel, we had well attended Sunday Christian services, and even Billy Graham was invited to speak to us at a large 7th Division gathering. Do you think that would be allowed now? I don’t think so!

If Biden-Harris’ policies are not repealed, anti-Christian leftists in power today will continue to threaten to court-martial and prosecute U.S. service members who share their faith in Christ. Even just 25 years ago we might have asked, can this really happen in America? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it not only can happen, it is in fact happening even today!

But let me tell you the good news about the persecution of Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmit. Here’s his story in his own words:

In 2006, I proudly served God and my country as a Navy Chaplain. It was during this time that the Secretary of the Navy issued a bad prayer policy. The policy said the Chaplains who prayed in Jesus’ name outside of Sunday Chapel could be court martialled. At that moment, I vowed to take a stand for religious freedom–not only for Jesus, but for my fellow soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. I took the battle public, to the very heart of the free world, standing at press conferences directly in front of the White House. There, I prayed in Jesus’ name in my uniform on national television, an act that violated the Navy’s anti-Christian policy. I figured if they planned to punish Chaplains who prayed “in Jesus’ name,” then I wanted to be the first. And you better believe they tried to punish me quietly. The last thing they wanted was the American public to realize that a well-respected chaplain was facing court martial for PRAYING!

So, I demanded a trial in court. These domestic enemies of the Constitution sent me to a misdemeanor court-martial. There, the Navy judge literally ruled that “worshiping in public” was not protected by law, since my public prayer in uniform was not conducted inside a Sunday chapel. The verdict was reached … GUILTY OF WORSHIPING IN PUBLIC!

I was honorably discharged, but lost my 16-year career, million-dollar pension, my home, and the honor of serving my country. Tears streamed down my face… but these weren’t tears of sadness, no, these were tears of joy. Despite my loss, I took comfort in the fact that I was finally found worthy to share in Christ’s suffering. But the story doesn’t end there. After my crucifixion came a resurrection: After hearing of this injustice, a tidal wave of support formed across the heart of America. 520 newspapers reported on my persecution rallying 300,000 faithful Americans, 35 pro-family groups, and 75 lawmakers who all petitioned the President to reverse the Navy’s policy targeting Christians. Congress vindicated me for my stand on religious freedom!

Thanks to these caring, vigilant Americans, Congress later struck down, reversed, and rescinded the Navy’s unconstitutional policy restoring the rights of Chaplains to freely express their faith and to pray in Jesus’ name!

Sadly, the same evil men who tried to make an example of me are far from defeated. They don’t seem to understand that religious freedom is precious and fragile.

It can be taken away in a heartbeat if we don’t stand guard. And that’s what will happen if Admiral Grady does not repeal and remove the anti-Christian zealots Biden-Harris appointed.

But Larry Kudlow has reminded us of the good news: “The Calvary is coming in November and again in 2024!”

Here’s another quote from President Trump: “In America we know that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, are the center of the American life. Our motto is In God we Trust.” I have heard neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris say anything close to that. In fact, they appear openly opposed to such thinking.

That fact alone is enough to cause me to vote for whoever the Republicans nominate–certainly not Biden and Harris or whoever is on the Democratic ticket.

I just hope the Calvary is not too late to bring their downfall. The Republicans may not be perfect, but their policies are 100% better than the Democrats and their anti-Christian policies. That’s just my opinion!

Here’s one last quote, this one by Joshua, a contemporary of Moses 3400 years ago, which I believe the Republicans would endorse, but the present Democratic administration would reject. Joshua said, “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15).

Friends, I believe America is destined to serve the Lord. I certainly pray so!
