Pink Hill Elementary School

North Lenoir High School Cafeteria 

2400 Institute Road, La Grange 

Date: 7/12

Score: 98.5

Observations: 

Two dead roaches were seen. 

The pad dumpsters are on are filled with debris, garbage. 

Ceiling in dish room needs repair/cleaning. 

Mama Nem's Legacy Grill 

108 S Wooten Street, La Grange

Observations: 

Wiping cloths in bucket with no sanitizer. 

Bill's Grill 

129 S Caswell Street, La Grange

Observations: 

Facility did not have employee health policy. 

Facility did not have vomit and diarrhea clean-up plan. 

Bowls, plates, pans, glasses, and thermometer probe need additional cleaning. 

Meat in drawers below grill was 44F. 

Flies in kitchen and dining area. 

Ice scoop held in pooled water. 

Some dishes were stacked wet. 

Prep unit not working. 

Food contact services need additional cleaning. 

Floor under and around equipment and walls around cook area need additional cleaning. 

Two Dogs Pizza

Observations: 

Facility did not have vomit and diarrhea clean-up plan.

Staff was replenishing lettuce on salad bar with bare hands. 

Degreaser transferred to spray bottled not labeled. 

Flies present. 

Wet wiping cloth laying on prep surface. 

Better cleaning needed on shelving, hood, filters, bases of toilets, ceiling, and vent over sub prep station. 

South Lenoir High School Cafeteria

3355 Old Hwy 11S, Deep Run

Observations: 

Gasket on milk case in poor repair. 

Dumpsters are not on a paved surface. 

The dumpster needs a plug. 

Paint is peeling off the walls and an area of bad repair on ceiling of doorway to dish room. 

3 lights bulbs out under hood. 

Banks Elementary School Cafeteria 

2148 Falling Creek Road, Kinston 

Date: 7/25

Score: 96.5

Observations: 

True milk case in back dish machine room not working. 

Equipment exteriors of milk cases and dish machine in back room needs white white residue cleaned off. 

Dumpster still missing. 

Ceiling and walls peeling paint throughout. The ceiling panels in dish machine room coming down likely from moisture problem. 

Ceiling panels in dining room have heavy mold growth. 

Lights in back room and can wash room not working.
