Accident involving two 18-wheelers blocks traffic at Queen and 70
Update from Lenoir County Emergency services Director Murry Stroud:
Both tractor trailers have been removed from the roadway and all lanes of Hwy 70 are back open to traffic. NC DOT has covered fluid spills with sand and motorists are advised to travel through this intersection with caution for the next few hours.
Kinston Police Department is investigating the cause of the collision.

Emergency responders are currently on the scene of a MVC involving two 18-wheelers at the intersection of Us Hwy 70 and South Queen St. in Kinston, NC. The two trucks collided in the middle of the intersection. No injuries have been reported however, the trucks are blocking major lanes of travel.
Multiple lanes of East and West bound Hwy 70 will be reduced for an undetermined amount of time.

A double 18-wheeler accident at the corner of Queen Street and Highway 70 has closed the roads to traffic in all four directions. The Kinston Police Department, Kinston Fire and Rescue, and the Lenoir County Emergency services are on scene.
