By Cailyn Kennedy

Are you searching for some holiday magic? You can find it at Lenoir Community College this December with two evening and four matinee performances of Irving Berlin's White Christmas The Musical. So, step into your best winter outfit and make your way to LCC for this spirited performance.

The show, directed by LCC's Fine Arts Program Chair/Music Instructor Jessica Cruz, will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 2, 3, 9, and 10 in the Briley Auditorium on the Turner Stage. This show is one of many that will be a part of the performing arts series at LCC. The title sponsor of Irving Berlin's White Christmas The Musical is Neuse News.

Tickets are available now at www.lenoircc.edu/whitechristmas. Ticket prices are as follows, accessible seating: $15, orchestra seating: $20, standard seating: $15, and student standard seating (ages 4-17; 18+ student ID required): $10.

Along with this outstanding performance, the College will host a Stocking Stuffer Maker's Market, where vendors will sell their products before show time beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 8 and at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, 3, 9, and 10.

This timeless show is a heartwarming story of love, friendship, and the spirit of giving. This production will take its audience to a snow-covered Vermont inn, where two veterans team up with a duo of singing sisters to save their former commanding officer's struggling business. The result? It is a delightfully nostalgic show full of romance, laughter, and music.

Ensemble member Rebekah Lemon can't wait to take the stage at LCC for a second time this year. Lemon lives in Kinston and is so excited about her first holiday show. She has been dancing since 2008 and has been doing theater since 2012. She has never taken the stage without her twin sister, Rachel Lemon, by her side.

The other half of the Lemon sisters, Rachel Lemon, also lives in Kinston. She is the youngest of eight, loves to cook, and is a retired pageant girl. She is also incredibly excited to attend East Carolina University in the Spring.

The second time's a charm for ensemble member Aaron Williams. The La Grange native is a "second-time first-time" performer after being unable to make a stage debut in LCC's Ragtime. Regardless, he is back and happy to be a part of the White Christmas ensemble.

Adam Kearney is excited to perform in his very first show. Kearney is a student at LCC, where he is seeking an Associate in Fine Arts-Music Degree. He loves to play guitar and spend time with his family.

North Lenoir High School junior Caroline Wimbush will be an ensemble member in this production. Born and raised in Kinston, she has been dancing for 10 years, practicing styles such as ballet, tap, pointe, lyrical, and jazz. In addition to dancing, she also plays flute in her school's marching band.

Ensemble member Gianna Cruz is no stranger to the Turner Stage. You might have recently seen her perform as Matilda in Matilda, The Musical. She is excited to dance her heart out in this show. Cruz loves swimming, riding her bike, and painting her nails. If you run into her, ask her about her love for Takis and seaweed.

New Bern native Ivy Azure is an ensemble member in this upcoming production. You might have seen her on the Turner stage as a Mersister in Disney's The Little Mermaid. She plays five instruments, sings, dances, and is highly prone to accidents.
