The Boy Scouts of America donated Thanksgiving dinners to the Kinston Community Health Center for the second year. For many of us who love Thanksgiving, the good food, and being with family and friends, some individuals and families cannot. But because of the Food Lion Feeds Program, and VFW Post 2771, 15 families will be able to enjoy a meal together.

According to the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina, food insecurity has emerged as a defined reality for hundreds of thousands of Americans. In a county with a population of 56,756, over ten thousand of those face the reality of food insecurity. You too can make an impact and donate to the Boy Scouts of America, and Kinston Community Health Center. With your help, they can continue to make a difference.
