Town of Pink Hill appoints William R. Gray Jr. as new town attorney
PINK HILL, N.C. – The Town of Pink Hill has announced the appointments of William R. Gray Jr. as its new Town Attorney, succeeding George Jenkins.
The decision was made during a special session of the Town of Pink Hill Board of Commissioners on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Gray is scheduled to be officially sworn in at the next Town Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Jenkins resigned from his role after two decades of service, and the Town has retained him through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the appointment, Mayor Yvonne Deatherage said, "I am thrilled to welcome Will to the Board, and I am confident that he will serve the Town of Pink Hill with dedication and professionalism. I believe he will bring a fresh perspective and new energy to the Board, ushering in a new generation of leadership."
Gray expressed his eagerness to begin working with the Town Board and to contribute to the growth and development of Pink Hill.
