Easton Corbin to light up Herritage St. stage at BBQ Fest on the Neuse
Get ready for the 2023 BBQ Fest on the Neuse, featuring the world's largest whole hog cook-off with over 90 teams competing, carnival rides, and country music superstar Easton Corbin as the headliner. This annual event, held in Downtown Kinston on the first weekend of May, promises to be the ultimate celebration of all things BBQ.
“This year we have Big City opening up at 7:00 o'clock at the Herritage St. stage on Friday, May 5th, followed by national recording artist Easton Corbin,” said Jason Bryant with WRNS.
Easton Corbin will take the main stage on Friday, May 5th at 8:30pm, showcasing his unique blend of traditional and modern country music. With two No. 1 singles under his belt, Easton is sure to delight the crowd with his memorable baritone voice. In addition to Easton's performance, festival-goers can expect a range of entertainment and activities for all ages.
“We've got an awesome laser show after the entertainment on the Herritage St. stage Friday night,” said Waylon Adams, chairman of the BBQ Fest of the Neuse.
The festival's Herritage Street stage will feature live entertainment throughout the day, including the Southern Misfits Band, Big City, Super Grit Cowboy Band, and No Quarter Brass Band. In addition, the Coastal Plains Bike Show and Carolina Classic Cruisers Car & Truck Show will display some of the most impressive vehicles in the area. The kids' entertainment doesn't stop at the Flimsy's Fun Zone, as Pearson Park will host a dance party, live music, and Mother's Day crafts. The winners of the cooking competition will be announced Saturday at 1:00 pm on the Herritage Street stage.
Admission to the BBQ Fest on the Neuse is free. The BBQ cooked will go on sale Saturday at 11:00 am until sold out. ATMs will be located at various points throughout the festival area for food, drinks, and other goodies. Shuttle service will be available on Saturday, May 6th, from 9:00am - 8:00pm. Locations for the shuttle stops will be Grainger Stadium, Herritage Street/Blount Street, and Queen Street/North Street.
