KPD detectives seize cocaine, ecstasy, and guns
Members of KPD's Violent Crime Action Team made contact with Tyrone Koonce (31) and a 16 year old parked in Richard Green. During the encounter detectives located cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy), marijuana, and 2 concealed handguns. The investigation revealed that 1 of the firearms was stolen from Kinston.
Tyrone Koonce was charged with the following:
-Felony Maintaining a vehicle
-Possession of Cocaine
-Possession of MDMA
-Possession of Marijuana
-Carrying Concealed Gun
The 16 year old was released to his guardian and detectives will seek Juvenile Petitions for the following:
-Possession of a Stolen Firearm
-Carrying Concealed Gun
-Possession of a Handgun by a Minor
