Administrative changes for Greene County Schools for the 2023-2024 school year

Snow Hill, NC - A few Greene County Schools will look different this upcoming school year with new personnel in administrative roles. The changes were approved at the Greene County Board of Education meeting on Monday, July 24, 2023.

Effective August 1, 2023, the following personnel took on their new role:

● Mrs. Anya Mattingly is the principal of West Greene Elementary School.

● Mr. Phil Cook is the principal of Greene County Middle School.

● Mr. Thomas Loftin is the assistant principal at Greene County Middle School.

● Mr. Jimmy Summerville serves as the Director of the Alternative Education Center.

● Mrs. Diane Blackman serves as Special Projects Administrator for Greene County Schools.

● Mrs. Leigh Garner serves as the Technology Director for Greene County Schools.

Greene County Schools also has the pleasure of hosting the following through their school administrative internships:

● Mr. Stan White at West Greene Elementary School, effective August 1, 2023.

● Mrs. Laura Brown at Greene Central High School, effective August 1, 2023.

● Mrs. Daraka Santos at Greene County Middle School, effective August 7, 2023.

Students and their families will have the opportunity to meet some of these individuals in their new role at the Greene County Schools’ Back to School Bash on August 12, from 9:00 am -12:00 pm, and at Open House on August 24, from 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
