Greene County Parks and Recreation announce Fall Sports sign-ups
Snow Hill - The Greene County Parks and Recreation Department has announced the dates for Fall Sports sign-ups. Parents who are interested in signing up their children for Flag Football, Baseball, T-Ball, and Soccer can do so at the Greene County Wellness Center from August 28 through September 15. Some sports may request a copy of your child's Birth Certificate.
According to the Parks and Rec Facebook page, several of the sports saw an increase in the fee to play. Mike Anderson, Director of Parks and Rec addressed this by saying “ As the new fall schedule rolls out you may notice a price increase in all sports some bigger than others as we have always tried to keep costs down, We have no choice but to raise prices to cover the rising costs of uniforms, officials and overall operating cost.”
Anderson also shared that if parents have questions or would like to see the breakdown of costs to reach out to him at the Wellness Center.
