As a member of Emergency Services with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The Emergency Medical Services Division is seeking candidates for an EMS Training Officer. Candidates are responsible for the development, oversight, and administration of the EMS Divisions’ continuing education, orientation, and quality assurance programs.

Candidates for employment will work closely with the Emergency Services Director and EMS Division Chief, to develop programs that strive to ensures high-quality patient care. Employees in this class are subject to hazards associated by being a medical service provider. This position is considered essential and requires reporting to work for inclement weather and as other needs arise within the division.

Minimum Requirements:
• Associates’ Degree with coursework in Emergency Medical Services, or related field with extensive documented experience in emergency medical services.
• Unrestricted NC Office of EMS Paramedic credential with ability to pass System Boarding requirements as set by the Medical Director
• Credentialed as an NCOEMS Level I Paramedic Instructor (or obtain within one year)
• Completion of NIMS ICS 100, 200, 300, 700, and 800 certifications
• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
