Arrest Made Following Breaking and Entering Incident on Charlotte Avenue
On the morning of November 4, 2024, at approximately 6:00 AM, officers from C-Squad responded to a reported breaking and entering on the 1500 block of Charlotte Avenue. The caller, a juvenile, informed authorities that 32-year-old Omar Wilkes had unlawfully entered their home before fleeing the scene.
Upon arrival, officers quickly located Wilkes and attempted to make contact. Wilkes initially provided officers with a false identity and attempted to flee on foot. After a brief pursuit, officers successfully apprehended him.
Wilkes was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering to Terrorize and Resisting a Public Officer. In addition, officers served Wilkes with unrelated arrest warrants. He is currently being held at the LC Jail under a secured bond.
