On February 19, 2025, at 7:32 p.m., Kinston Police Department officers responded to a breaking and entering at the Dollar General on King Street. Surveillance footage captured a black male wearing a black hoodie with “OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE” written on the back forcibly kicking through the door to gain entry, while a black female remained outside.
The Kinston Police Department is asking for the community’s help in finding William Marcus Gunter, 30, who is wanted in connection with multiple break-ins. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact KPD or Crime Stoppers.
On the morning of November 4, 2024, at approximately 6:00 AM, officers from C-Squad responded to a reported breaking and entering on the 1500 block of Charlotte Avenue. The caller, a juvenile, informed authorities that 32-year-old Omar Wilkes had unlawfully entered their home before fleeing the scene.
