Duplin farmer re-elected to serve Jones and Lenoir regions
AgCarolina Farm Credit announces Director and Nominating Committee Election Results
AgCarolina Farm Credit recently completed the 2024 Director and Nominating Committee election. An independent third party tabulated the ballots, and the results have been certified and provided to the Association. We appreciate the participation of AgCarolina voting stockholders to help strengthen our cooperative. Each of the elected directors will serve a four-year term beginning January 1, 2025.
Adrian Locklear is a row crop farmer from Robeson County re-elected for region 4 (Brunswick, Columbus, Robeson and New Hanover). Locklear serves as the chair of the AgCarolina Farm Credit Compensation Committee, on the Board for the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association and on the AgFirst Farm Credit Bank Legislative Advisory Committee amongst other local organizations.
Morris Murphy is a row crop farmer from Duplin County re-elected for region 8 (Duplin, Jones and Lenoir Counties). Murphy serves on the AgCarolina Farm Credit Compensation Committee, NC Pork Council Board and James Sprunt Community College Foundation Board amongst several other local organizations.
Mark Wellons is a row crop and livestock farmer from Johnston County re-elected for region 9 (Greene, Johnston and Wayne Counties). Wellons serves on the AgCarolina Farm Credit Risk Committee, North Carolina Farm Bureau and the North Carolina Agricultural Foundation (NC State Foundation) amongst other location organizations.
Additionally, each year our stockholders vote on representation for the nominating committee who is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and nominating candidates for election to the board of directors. The following is a list of the persons elected to serve a one-year term on next year’s nominating committee.
