Three arrested in Kinston on drug charges, LCSO reports
On Thursday and Friday, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office’s narcotics unit and Street Crimes and Ready Response (SCARR) unit arrested three individuals on drug charges: Brandy Hansley, 37, of Kinston; Victor Strickland, 57, of Kinston; and Matthew Whaley, 34, of Kinston.
The arrests occurred at two locations — Archie’s Sweepstakes on U.S. 258 North and the Nations Inn on U.S. 70, both in Kinston.
Hansley was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia; she received a $5,000 secured bond.
Strickland was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling; he received a $25,000 secured bond.
Whaley was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia; he received a $20,000 secured bond.
These arrests are part of an ongoing process to clean up Lenoir County. The LCSO appreciates the residents who call in drug complaints in an effort to clean up our county.
