Over the last two weeks, Congress engaged in a number of critical issues facing the nation: the raging crisis at our southern border, geopolitical challenges in Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan, and rapidly approaching government funding deadlines. With a slim majority in the House and a Democrat-led Senate, getting legislation across the finish line has been incredibly difficult. Despite the hurdles, I am optimistic that we will get the job done.
This year will be pivotal for the future of our great nation. Regardless of the way in which the wind blows in Washington, I will never back down from my duty to protect our values and way of life. It is an honor and privilege to be your representative and voice in Congress.

Key Votes
Israel Security Supplemental
In the face of terror and unprovoked aggression, Israel is in a righteous fight for its existence and the United States must stand behind it. The nation is our greatest ally in the Middle East and critically needs the support of the West to defend itself against Iranian-backed, extremist militant groups who wish to eradicate it. It is obvious Senator Schumer and Senate Democrats wish to use this emergency as a political football despite its critical nature and I will not allow it
Impeachment of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas
On the first day of his administration, President Biden flew open America's southern border. Secretary Mayorkas bears responsibility for the worst border crisis in our nation's history and is guilty of refusing to enforce federal law and lying to Congress and the public. This self-inflicted disaster has cost this nation over 450 billion dollars. Mayorkas' actions are unbecoming of a cabinet secretary and an affront to the American people who entrust our executives to lead with dignity and honor. Impeachment is one of the most serious actions Congress can take. We have a responsibility to judiciously test the merits of a case brought before us. It is clear Secretary Mayorkas has violated U.S. law. After carefully reviewing the validity of the two articles brought forth by the House Committee on Homeland Security, I voted to impeach Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Social Security Fraud Act
In 2017, 1.2 million Americans experienced Social Security fraud by an illegal immigrant. This includes having their Social Security card or identity stolen.
Worse yet, Progressive DA are refusing to hold these individuals accountable for their crimes. They continue to benefit off the backs of hard-working Americans by remaining in our country illegally.
This is completely unacceptable. I voted YES to the Consequences for Social Security Fraud Act which makes social security fraud, by illegal immigrants, grounds for deportation or barring them from admission into the United States.
Protect Our Communities from DUIs Act
This month, an illegal immigrant who had been drinking and driving killed a family. This individual had been deported 4 times and arrested 3 times on DUI suspicion.
The justice system is failing. Chaos strikes when rules are not enforced – we must crack down on deportation. American citizen's lives are at risk as they continue to bear the burden of illegal immigration and the negligence of the Biden Administration.
Drunk driving should be a deportable offense for illegal immigrants and prohibit them from entering our country.
I voted YES on the Protect Our Communities from DUIs Act which makes driving intoxicated or impaired a deportable offense for illegal immigrants and grounds to bar them from entering the country.
Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act
Border Patrol Agent Raul Gonzalez was tragically killed in the line of duty during a high-speed chase with an illegal immigrant while trying to protect our southern border.
Sadly, deaths caused by high-speed chases happen nearly every day. Innocent bystander passengers are almost half of those killed in high-speed chases.
How many more consequences do the American people have to suffer before the Biden Administration wakes up and decides to admit the open border policy has ruined the security of our nation?
We need stronger penalties for illegals evading police.
I voted YES on the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act which creates new criminal offenses for operating a vehicle within 100 miles of the southern border while fleeing from Border Patrol agents, or any law enforcement officer assisting the U.S. Border Patrol, including serious jail time and prohibition from ever receiving legal status in the United States.
Opposing the Senate "Border Security" Deal

Ways and Means Roundtable on AI Integration in the Medical Field
I participated in a roundtable, hosted by the Ways and Means Committee, to discuss health AI integration and best practices for its implementation.
Several challenges to the integration of this burgeoning innovation include algorithmic bias, various malpractice potentialities, and hierarchical challenges. Humans must remain atop the chain of command and the doctor-patient relationship must be protected. We control artificial intelligence, not the other way around.
I'm grateful for my colleagues’ attention to this exciting technology and look forward to continuing to carefully oversee its inclusion in the field of medicine.
Honoring Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point
Congratulations to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point for being named the 2024 Marine Air Station of the Year!
It is my honor to represent the fine men and women stationed on base who sacrifice so much to keep us safe.
Semper Fidelis.

House Administration Committee Hearing on Zuckerbucks and Election Integrity
Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of American democracy. It is unethical for tax-exempt "charitable" organizations to divert funds towards supporting left-wing efforts to influence election administration. For example, more than $300 million was donated by Mark Zuckerberg to charities to benefit COVID-19 relief efforts but was really funneled into Democrat political operations. That is a fact. In fact, he has agreed to never do this again.
Regardless of political ideology, we must protect election integrity and instill confidence in ALL eligible voters.
